Clearwater Beach Real Estate Information

Nestled scenically on the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico on Florida’s western-facing shores, Clearwater Beach is often known by its slogan, “The White Sand Beach Paradise that is Clearwater Beach, Florida.” Characterized by its white sand beach that is almost three miles long, Clearwater Beach has become one of the area’s premier tourist destinations because of the attractiveness of the subtropical climate.

Clearwater Beach offers more than tanning on the beach but also includes parasailing, jet skiing, boat tours, sightseeing adventures, and dolphin sightings. A number of fishing charters and pirate ship cruise tours are also based at Clearwater Beach. Several restaurants and bars are within walking distance of the beach, making the sandy shoreline a top all-day destination. The social hub for Clearwater Beach is Pier 60. The pier includes a children’s playground, snack bar, and designated fishing area. A nightly “Sunsets at Pier 60” event invites residents and visitors to join in the fun with live entertainment, street performances, juggling, and musical and dance acts. A nightly arts and crafts display that features locally made jewelry, candles, and other gifts can be found on the pier as well.

The Clearwater Beach Jolley Trolley is the community’s primary method of public transportation and is frequented mostly by tourists although residents are welcomed aboard, too. The hourly service provides quick and convenient transport to a number of hotspots around town. While this is an attractive option, most people without personal cars choose to leisurely stroll the sideways of Clearwater Beach in order to enjoy the comfortable weather and magnificent views.

Just twenty miles from the Tampa International Airport, Clearwater Beach and its residents can quickly and easily fly to destinations along the eastern seaboard and abroad. The current passenger terminal features four airside buildings with over seventy-five gates. Southwest Airlines provides the most-vast network of destinations by offering non-stop flights to over twenty-five cities across the United States. Air Tran Airways, Continental Airlines, jetBlue Airways, Delta Airlines, and American Airlines follow Southwest Airlines as the major carriers serving the airport. In total, residents have access to over fifty destinations non-stop from Tampa and have the option of connecting to hundreds more.
