Orient Park Real Estate Information

As part of the East Lake-Orient Park area, the small community of Orient Park is situated about five miles northeast of downtown Tampa and is located alongside the I-4 interstate. In the midst of several blossoming areas, Orient Park is bordered by Uceta Yard to the south, Tampa Bypass Canal to the east, East Lake to the north, and Grant Park to the west. The Tampa Bypass Canal helps to improve the flow of water throughout Tampa and acts as a escape valve for some of the area’s bigger lakes and bodies of water. A jogging path that runs alongside the canal is the perfect place to exercise for many Orient Park residents who have just returned from a long day of work in the city. Bypass Canal Park and Veterans Memorial Regional Park are both located along the canal as well. Not only do the parks have some brilliant facilities but have scenic views of the canal’s waters as they flow by.

Tampa’s main railroad yard is just south of Orient Park and receives a number of different cargo trains from destinations across the eastern seaboard. The only passenger trains into Tampa that operate on a regular schedule are Amtrak’s Silver Services that provide service between New York’s Penn Station and Miami, Florida.

The Hillsborough County Public Schools operate the public schools for grades kindergarten through twelfth grade in the area.
